"It was a pleasure working with Robert and the team from the Mountain Real Estate Group. Real estate transactions can be stressful, but Robert’s calm demeanor made the process very smooth. He kept us informed at every step and was always there when we had questions. I highly recommend Robert for anyone purchasing or selling real estate." - Joe
★★★★★
"This is the second property Robert Martin helped us sell. That should be enough of a review, but there is more. We appreciate Robert's professionalism, thoroughness, and thoughtfulness with our real estate transaction. Selling a property can be emotionally difficult when the land was part of our "dreams". His sensitivity to understanding the "human" aspects of a transaction meant a lot to us. Just like our first experiences with Robert, he made the process go smoothly, promptly replying to all parties' inquiries and facilitating an exceptional experience for all involved. Thanks again!" - Bret

"I do want to recommend my real estate agent Robert Martin as a solid reference. During this process of buying an out of state home, I've had several agents and several horrible experiences. When I look for great people, I start with honesty, integrity, and perseverance. Robert has all these qualities and a great skill set to match." - Tom

"Robert is a consummate professional. We wanted to sell our Conifer home quickly for a fair market price. Robert listed the property within 2 weeks, securing an offer a week later. We travel frequently for work. Robert worked with our aggressive timeline, coordinating with us while we traveled. From staging & photos, through the open house and closing, Robert’s regular communications kept us updated through the entire process. Robert’s knowledge of mountain properties was invaluable. The entire process was completed without issue. I’d recommend Robert to anyone buying or selling mountain properties." - Phil
Robert's Bio
I grew up in a small town, Colby, Kansas, and in a big family. I was the seventh of eight children. The dinner table was a place where stories were shared about our day, and I navigated my way to get 2nd helpings before they were finished off. You could say that’s where I began developing my negotiation skills.I dreamed of being a radio announcer at a “big city” station. When it came time for me to go to college, I decided to study journalism in broadcasting and management. And that college experience gave me opportunities to explore that interest. I was a play-by-play announcer for the school’s Junior College basketball team and an on air “disc-jockey” at the University of Kansas...Rock Chalk!
It seemed to be the right decision for me as I took various broadcast jobs across the country. I spent 10 years working in radio and the field of communications. I was effectively a professional communicator! During that time, I met my lovely wife Jane, we got married, and settled in Madison, Wisconsin for a few years. Jane was going to the UW there, studying for an advanced degree in French education. While working as an afternoon drive radio announcer I came to the realization that making it as a radio announcer was losing its luster. I found myself pondering what kind of work I should tackle next. I knew I loved meeting new people, working with them, and communicating with them. I sold books door-to-door during the summers in college and found the work engaging and learned a lot about human nature. I wanted to pursue a field where I could work with diverse and interesting people. It’s not all that different from how you first drum up business in real estate.
It wasn’t until we moved to Colorado that I began to work in the industry. I met people and developed organic relationships. Once people discovered I was a licensed broker, they’d come to me with questions. That was when I first realized how a real estate broker brings value to their clients and a real estate transaction.
It has been a great career for me as a dad as it has offered flexibility to spend time with my family. Jane and I have three kids, Grant, Abe, and Stella who are pursuing their careers.
A key to a successful business relationship is communication. I recognize that people prefer to communicate in a variety of ways. I stay in touch with my clients during a transaction in the way that works for them. I respect those I do business with and feel that they treat me the same. Over the years...I've learned a lot, and in the event that I don’t have an answer to a question, I’ll most likely know where to find it.
I have assisted 100's of clients buy and sell real estate and as the Managing Broker for two RE/MAX Offices for five years in Evergreen and Conifer, oversaw over 5000 real estate transactions for more than 70 real estate brokers.
The emotional aspects of a real estate transaction are at the forefront of my mind. I keep a level head to guide clients through inevitable challenges and focus on the positive end result. Assisting clients reach their goals and objectives is the high point, the pinnacle of what I do…sharing in the joy clients have at the closing table or the relief and satisfaction they feel upon a successful closing. The best part has been getting to know so many wonderful people whom I’ve had the honor of working with. I am grateful! We live in Conifer and I enjoy hiking whenever I can and long distance backpacking with friends and family...and look forward to some upcoming solo backpacking trips too.

Lori's Bio
Growing up on a farm in Canada and moving to northern Colorado at age 9, home has always been the center of stability. Home is her favorite place to be. Learning valuable lessons from her parents who worked in farming and real estate, Lori’s parents always had an entrepreneurial spirit of hard work and grit as real estate brokers. Although she thought she’d never follow in their footsteps, Lori developed an admiration for the industries that her parents immersed themselves in.
Prior to real estate, Lori’s background included civil and mining engineering after earning her degree at Colorado School of Mines. From engineering to a stay-at-home mom, she’s currently in her 14th year homeschooling her four amazing kids: Brady, Cooper, Remi, and Abe. Her kids are what keep her going each day. Lori is honored to share her life with them and opens her front door to the foothills of Colorado and is grateful for the beauty, mountains, and lifestyle. Her hobbies include cooking, hiking, reading, and most of all spending time with family at home!
Whether a cozy mountain home with a crackling fire or an urban apartment overlooking the skyline, Lori believes a home is really the heart of our culture. She loves being welcomed in, sitting down for a great conversation, and hearing all about them. To Lori, real estate is not about the property, it’s about the people and the stories that reside within. Lori’s passion is that each homeowner has space to create their own story in each phase of their life. She feels she’s met the most incredible people working with the Mountain Home Group as they assist homeowners and homebuyers to find their next home in the foothills of Evergreen, Conifer, Bailey, Pine, Morrison, and surrounding areas.
