Later, Donna served as a special liaison between the Syracuse Mayor's Office and local merchants during the multimillion-dollar Streetscape Improvement Project — a role she credits for honing her diplomacy and ability to drive consensus among multiple stakeholders. Donna and her husband reside in Armonk, where their two sons attended Byram Hills schools.
