Hello June!

June is here, bringing with it longer days and warmer weather! In this month's newsletter, read my take on some technology news, Better Homes & Gardens' advice on new construction, some tips from Realtor.com on organizational tools, and some local flavor from the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Technology and Real Estate News

This spring has been buzzing with technology news. Notably, the products announced at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference and Nvidia's historic valuation stand out, as both highlight technologies that COMPASS is already using to enhance the real estate experience.

You might've heard about Apple's newest gadget, the Apple Vision Pro. This headset melds computer technology with our surroundings in a blend known as augmented reality (AR). Sony also released their latest headset a few months ago, indicating that this technology will only become more prevalent. While many are waiting for these technologies to mature, colleagues in COMPASS have been proactively utilizing a different brand’s virtual reality headsets to provide property tours since February 2022.

Another valuable tool at COMPASS is the COMPASS Lens. It employs a form of artificial intelligence, or AI, to help us and our clients envision what a room could look like post-renovation. By integrating AI and AR, Lens allows us to visualize the potential of a space in real-time. Nvidia's role comes into play here - they manufacture the chips that drive this type of technology. Their recent valuation of over a trillion dollars suggests that this technology will only continue to improve and evolve, which means tools like Lens will as well.

In the whirlwind of new technology, it's comforting to know that COMPASS isn't just keeping pace with trends - we're leading them. While some may shy away from adopting new tech, we've been wholeheartedly embracing and mastering these advanced tools, which not long ago, seemed to belong only in sci-fi movies.

In an industry as dynamic as ours, readiness to adapt to changes is crucial. At COMPASS, we've hit the ground running and are charging full speed ahead. So, ask yourself, are you ready to keep up?
