Hello,

February

February is here already! Wow!

February is always a favorite month for me, I love Valentine's Day, even though we don't do anything special. I just think it is fun. I picked out some special events happening in Santa Cruz. I carefully pick them out. I like events that promote local non-profits and local icons (the SC Wharf), and I have a new one I found - skating at the Santa Cruz Civic - how fun!

I might try it!

I hope you have a sweet February!

Meals on Wheels faces the first waitlist in 50 years: Support Santa Cruz seniors at Valentine’s Day Luncheon

For the first time in nearly 50 years, Meals on Wheels for Santa Cruz County is facing a waitlist for services, leaving many seniors without the critical support they rely on. This Valentine’s Day, you can help change that by attending the Food From the Heart Luncheon & Valentine’s Day Extravaganza on Friday, February 14, from 11 am to 1 pm at Chaminade Resort & Spa - 1 Chaminade Ln, Santa Cruz, CA 95065

This special event is more than a celebration—it's a critical fundraiser to ensure seniors stay nourished, connected, and independent. Enjoy a delicious lunch, romantic auction items, exciting raffle prizes, and the Sweetheart Award ceremony honoring those who support senior well-being. With rising costs and a growing senior population, your support is vital to closing the funding gap and preventing more seniors from joining the waitlist.

Purchase tickets, become a sponsor, or donate to help Meals on Wheels continue serving our community's most vulnerable.
