| | Welcome to the 1st edition of ASCEND, a bi-weekly newsletter dedicated to sharing stories that will peak your curiosity and stimulate your sense of adventure. As a lifelong Coloradoan, mountain lover and resident of the Mile High City I know first hand how a change in elevation alters your perspective. This is why I decided to launch a different kind of newsletter. Within these editions I will share with you hidden gems and secret spots, things I love in and about this city, state and beyond that I hope you will love too. There will be a variety of topics inspired by whatever gets my heart pumping or creativity flowing in art, architecture, food, travel, nature, animals, destinations, local news and events, the unique, the absurd and the occasional dream property. | | One of the pillars of Denver’s thriving art scene are the incredible murals you can find throughout the city. A staple in neighborhoods like Baker, RiNo, South Broadway, Westwood and sprinkled throughout the metro, you can seek them out and soak them in on a walking tour or catch a colorful glimpse as you drive by on your daily commute. If you have ever wondered about the stories behind some of Denver’s iconic mural work, you are in luck! Check out CPR’s recently launched “Off The Walls” podcast dedicated to the art form. |

| | Michelin stars—by many considered to be the most prestigious culinary distinction in the world. 2023 marks Michelin’s official arrival to the thriving, growing, innovating and often under rated Colorado food scene. In the new Colorado Michelin Guide, there are now 5 incredible Colorado restaurants awarded the Michelin Gold Star for excellence. And while this is indeed an accomplishment worth being celebrated, and hopefully experienced, it is the 4 innovative and even harder to achieve Michelin Green Star restaurants, restaurants specifically recognized for their outstanding commitment to sustainable gastronomy, that have my interest piqued and palate watering. |
