Five Points has long been Denver’s epicenter for celebrating Juneteenth, aka Emancipation Day, marking the end of legalized slavery across the U.S. Head out to the Juneteenth music festival in Five Points this weekend plus there are many more ways to celebrate and learn about this important day in American history and  participate in the newest federal holiday.

Looking to escape the City heat, head to the mountains and get the chills in one of Colorado’s ghost towns! These spooky settlements were abandoned almost as quickly as they appeared and stand today as representation of the hopefulness of the American frontier and the struggle to survive. Whether you’re looking for an eerie adventure, a glimpse into the past, or just an excuse to do some Rocky Mountain hiking, these ghost towns are worth checking out.
