Another summer festival is upon us, this weekend is the Colorado Dragon Boat Festival at Sloan's Lake. It is the largest one in the US. Both Saturday and Sunday, you can celebrate the culture, contributions and accomplishments of Colorado’s Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander communities. Featuring a host of food vendors, a marketplace, three performance stages and dragon boat racing, there are so many ways to experience something new.

When cool and historic buildings are abandoned what can they become? New, inspired housing! In Denver, TikToker Eva Rowland, is documenting her transformation and interior design of her apartment located in an old church. Several old buildings and churches around Denver have been repurposed and converted into housing and Eva offers us a glimpse into what these non-traditional homes can look like.

Colorado beer-lovers already know we have some of the best brews in the country, but it's good to get some nationwide recognition. 38 Colorado beers were awarded medals at the 2024 U.S. Beer Open in Ohio, 5 more than last year. Check out the medal winning beers and breweries and get out and try them for yourself. Cheers!
