| Exciting News: Christie’s International Real Estate and @properties Will Join Forces with Compass! |
| The acquisition includes brokerage owner @properties, which is the 8th largest residential brokerage in the US by sales volume and will help Compass build out an international presence.
The transaction also helps Compass expand its business to franchises, a move that chief executive officer Robert Reffkin has said the company was exploring. Christie’s International Real Estate brand will be the face of those operations and already has more than 30 domestic affiliates and 70 international ones, including locations in Dubai and Hong Kong. |

| I am Thrilled to Announce the Relaunch of the Compass Cares Program! |
| Over five years ago, Compass created the Compass Cares program to empower our agents and employees – to give back to local communities through the causes and charities that matter most to us. Through this program, we were able to amplify our collective impact and make a meaningful difference in the markets that we serve to show how much #CompassCares.
In this next chapter of the program, agents will have the opportunity to easily contribute a portion of their commissions to give back to their local communities. Through Compass Cares, we can elevate the perception of agents as some of the most compassionate and giving professionals in the country, who give back more than any other professional community.
We’re moving fast to get the program up and running, and I look forward to sharing additional details by the middle of next year so stay tuned! |

| | City of Yes ...for Housing Opportunity was adopted on December 5th |
| For decades, NYC hasn’t built enough housing because of overly restrictive zoning rules. Meanwhile, the housing that has been built is concentrated in just a few areas. As a result, there aren’t enough homes for New Yorkers to live in, many neighborhoods are closed off to housing opportunity, and the cost of housing keeps rising.
The final version of City of Yes for Housing Opportunity is expected to enable the creation of 80,000 homes over the next 15 years. It is carefully designed to work differently in different neighborhoods, and has a number of components. |

DID YOU KNOW?
I do! In 2023, about 555,000 unmarried couples said that they had bought their home in the previous year, according to a Wall Street Journal analysis of Census Bureau data. That is up 46% from 10 years earlier, when just under 381,000 couples did the same. Unmarried couples amounted to more than 11% of all U.S. home sales. The percentage has climbed steadily over the past two decades—a period in which marriage rates have fallen. Find out why, HERE. |

| | Barbara Hannigan (pictured), who hails from Nova Scotia, began her career as a singer. After years of creative success, she took a unique turn—unique, at least, for a soprano-to conducting, making her maestro début in 2011, at Théâtre du Châtelet, in Paris, at the age of forty. Nourished by a passion for contemporary music, Hannigan leads ensembles with vibrant abandon; on Dec. 12, she returns to her roots for a night of singing at the Park Avenue Armory. Hannigan and the esteemed French pianist Bertrand Chamayou will step into Messiaen's deeply biographical "Chants de Terre et de Ciel," Scriabin's capricious Opus 61 and aqueous Opus 72, and John Zorn's labyrinthine "Jumalattaret." —Jane Bua |
