| | While us hearty Californians may not experience seasons like they do on the East Coast, we do still have them - and October is the perfect time to make sure your home is ready as the days get shorter and winter looms. Here is a brief fall home maintenance checklist to get you started:
Clear your roof of tree debris and trim trees and bushes off of your roof and siding. Clean out your gutters. Bonus points (and future benefits) for installing gutter guards to keep the debris out in the first place. Clear exterior drains and remove nearby debris that might clog them when it rains. If the storm drain at the street appears to be clogged, call public works. Check your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Please upgrade to current 10-year detectors if you still have detectors with replacable 9V batteries. Replace your furnace filter (note: PG&E provides free furnace inspections and pilot light relighting services).
The good news in the above? Nowhere do you see the words "winterizing" or "burst pipes!" |

| | If you are a film buff, your response is likely, "Ghost Busters!" With the possible exception of paranormal activity though, a better response is "Janie and John."

What you may not be aware of is that our experience and knowledge extends far beyond your typical contractor needs. Here are just a few situations we have encountered over the years:
Do you suspect you have rodents in your attic or crawl space (it seems like this is a problem everywhere these days!)? Is there an unpleasant smell coming from under your house that you just want gone? What keeps digging up your garden...and how do you get rid of it/them? Ants! Need I say more? Raccoons are cute...unless they are living under your house! Is that a bat flying around your living room?
Even if we don't have an immediate solution for you (which we do for the above), we have a vast network we can tap into to help quickly resolve your situation. All it takes is one quick call to us to get the ball rolling! |
