Aloha from Kona, Big Island of Hawaii
Big Island Real Estate is moving more robust than ever thanks to very tight inventory. The median price of a Kona single-family home is still above the $1M mark.
The number of COVID new cases has dropped significantly here on the Big Island. The newly reported daily cases have gone down to 58(yesterday) from over 800 a month ago. (the population of the Big Island is approximately 200,000.) As a result, the
COVID-related restrictions may loosen up soon.
Hawaii has kept tight restrictions compared to other parts of the country, but the changes may come, finally!!
*Safe Travels Program may be dropped as early as late March
*Curtailing or removing indoor gathering size restrictions by late March
*National Guard Personnel to depart Hawaii in mid-March
And, for the first time in almost two years, we see cruise ships in Kailua Bay. While these big boats are still operating with only about 50% capacity, we will see an increase in cruise ships visiting Kona and Hilo.
My latest listing, Pines #144, is in escrow with the above asking price. Five offers came in. Thank you to those who stopped by to say "Aloha".
