| | With every real estate transaction, Janie and I have one overarching goal. We want you so thrilled with every aspect of your purchase or sale that you want to share our names with friends, family and co-workers. Naturally, there are certain defining philosophies and actions that we take to facilitate this. Specifically, we: 1. Believe strongly in education. Our goal is to educate every step of the way. Have you considered the tax implications? Are those scent diffusers masking something? Will the old electrical make securing homeowners insurance difficult/expensive? We want every decision you make to be an informed one. 2. Work to exceed expectations. While this may be considered obvious, we always do our best to go above and beyond. Our goal is to always pick up your call and promptly respond to texts/email. Want to squeeze in a quick last-minute meeting over lunch or after the kids go to bed? At least one of us is almost always available. 3. Endeavor to provide amazing customer service. We prefer to work with a small number of wonderful clients so we can provide a superior, personalized real estate experience. No assistants here! 4. Build long term relationships. This starts with always seeking the best solution for your situation. If you've ever had us talk you out of a prospective property or out of selling, you know what I am taking about. 5. Hope to be your go-to resource. Yes, we have a long list of vetted tradespeople, but it doesn't end there. Need a veterinarian? Kona coffee plantation tour in Hawaii? Grand Canyon rafting company? Yeah, we got that, too. And that is how we do business. If you know anyone that would benefit from our approach to real estate, we would very much appreciate you referring them to us. If your company or practice would benefit from having an experienced real estate duo available to help with recruiting, we have a proven track record here, too. Let's talk. And thank you for all of your past referrals! |

| | Friday, May 10th, looks to be a pretty significant day for the Barman family. While always important - it is Janie's birthday after all - this year it takes on even greater importance. On May 10th Jack graduates from Berkeley Law! Anticipation of this momentous event is further heightened by the fact that Jack's Pitzer College graduation in 2020 was cancelled due to Covid. While they did hold a nice makeup graduation ceremony in 2022, it just wasn't quite the same (and Jack's advisor, one of the featured speakers, came down with Covid and had to be replaced at the last minute...good times...not). AND May 10th is the last day of Chase's freshman year at Pitzer. In fact, Chase is currently scheduled to be taking his last final during Jack's graduation ceremony. We shall see if Chase can somehow massage his schedule enough to attend Jack's graduation ceremony. Oh, and just to add a little nuance to the situation, Janie and I are in the early stages of adding 720sf to our own home - so no hosting anyone here. As I type this, the back half of our house is gone and we are living in the front half with all of our stuff crammed in (I sense a topic for a future newsletter here). Thankfully, Janie's sister and brother-in-law volunteered to host Jack's post-graduation gathering at their home near Berkeley. Thank you, Laura and Adam! Fortunately, things start to quiet down the next day when Janie flies down to Pitzer to help Chase get all of his stuff packed and moved out by noon the following day. And lest I forget, this is immediately followed by a stimulating 400 mile drive home...Happy Mother's Day! So, just a heads up that we may be a little busy on May 10th should you need to reach us, but rest assured we have team of great agents backing us up should the need arise. |
