"EASTER"

Hidden Eggs. Candy.  More Candy.  The elusive Golden Egg ... and water balloons.  I know ... water balloons?  Somehow it became an Easter tradition with my besties, our (devilishly) laughing kids running through the house and yard, frantically spilling water down their arms and legs, holding their wobbly, dripping bundles of joy until they found their target... the ADULTS!

We'd been doing it for years now, and then Covid hit and our beloved Easter tradition halted.  Until tomorrow.  It will be much smaller, less adults, less children, less food ... so more balloons?

We will be socially distancing outside with masks, and maybe some water protective clothing... but letting our children run free (safely), to laugh, and forget for awhile how difficult life has been this past year.

My close knit group/adult balloon targets have all gotten our first vaccine shots, some have gotten their 2nd...if anyone needs help with finding vaccinations, please try the following websites:

Happy Easter!

Signed contracts in LA far outpace new listings in March

Deals for single-family homes nearly doubled new inventory; condos saw similar disparity

In Los Angeles County, signed contracts for single-family homes priced at below $5 million far outpaced new listings in the category last month, as inventory couldn’t keep up with demand.

There were 4,308 signed contracts countywide for single-family homes in all price categories in March and just 2,395 new homes listed, according to the latest report from Douglas Elliman by appraiser Jonathan Miller.

In L.A. County, single-family homes in the $500,000 to $699,000 range were particularly popular. At that price point, there were 1,093 deals last month but fewer than 400 new listings.

4616 Dundee Drive

Los Feliz, CA

5 bed | 4 bath | 4,807 sqft | 23,716 sqft lot

$9,975,000

For the first time since 1961, Richard Neutra’s Lovell Health House has resurfaced on the market. The trailblazing architect designed the five-bedroom residence, once described as "a Mondrian painting come to life," for a Los Feliz hillside in 1929—and the home quickly galvanized his career.

A precursor to the Kaufmann House, the 4,807-square-foot dwelling was commissioned by physician and naturopath Dr. Philip Lovell. The Lovell Family’s health-conscious lifestyle inspired the design of the home, which is replete with spacious outdoor porches and large windows that invite in the California sunshine.

Why these four directors of Oscar nominated films cut out key scenes

A deleted scene from a movie is a sad sort of orphan: It went all the way through the moviemaking strainer — conception, writing, shooting, editing — and still didn’t make the cut. And although today, deleted scenes don’t always go unseen thanks to bonus DVD material or director’s edits...
