Description
The Board is pleased to announce that we entered into a contract with Dalkia Solutions to install new boilers and refurbish our chillers. As part of the contract, the mechanical room on the roof (where the chillers and boilers are located) will be inspected to ensure the existing infrastructure is sound. As needed, repairs will be made. We will replace our two 50-year-old boilers with four smaller energy efficient boilers that will permit us to "rest" boilers when not needed in warm weather. We are also planning a final phase of the project to waterproof the floor of the mechanical room. Work on refurbishing the chillers will start quickly. The cost for the contract, in excess of $3 million, will be paid from our Capital Replacement Reserve Fund.
