  • Property Highlights: Kings Crown Condo Motel has a 53 year history in Collier County. Built in 1962, it was one of the first motels on Gulf Shore Drive. It became a popular tourist destination, across from Vanderbilt Beach and Wiggins Pass State Park. The first electric stoplight in Naples was installed on the "four corners" of 5th Avenue & 9th Street (US 41) in 1961. Kings Crown's ideal location was recognized by the Pioneers from the beginning of Naples growth & development, as the place to be in North Naples. Obviously, they were right! The Ritz Carlton opened on Vanderbilt Beach in 1985. It was so successful, that Naples became the 2nd city in the US to house 2 Ritz Carltons, when they opened Tiburon to offer both Golf & Gulf to their guests. In 1979, Kings Crown was converted to multi-family condominiums, and became deeded property to 12 lucky Owners. They have wonderful memories there, but also know it will be hard to move on from Kings Crown, because there's nothing else quite like it! NOT YET!?!?
