About Zena
As a lifetime resident of Block Island I could not be more passionate about this beautiful place I call home. Growing up in this intimate community was an experience I cherish every day. Working in the hotel and property management industry for the majority of my adult life, I am perfectly positioned as a real estate professional. My long standing relationships throughout the island with other agents, contractors, and service providers make me a valuable asset to my clients.
Prior to joining Lila Delman, I worked in the tourism industry for over three decades in several different capacities. In 2023 I decided it was time to begin a new chapter by switching gears literally and figuratively. After years of dreaming about developing guided bike tours on the Island, I opened Block Island by Bike in July of 2023, which offers both e-bike and gravel bike tours that include unique island history and gorgeous views. For me it is beyond rewarding to combine my passion for the outdoors with my love for the island, and share both with visitors.
In addition to enjoying the outdoors and the overall beauty of the Island, I have also been an active community member and volunteer, having worked on several committees and boards including The Taste of Block Island Committee, Block Island Early Learning Center board, and Block Island’s 350th Anniversary Committee. Most notably, I was a board member of the Block Island Tourism Council for seventeen years, during which time we helped in facilitating the now popular Block Island Glass Floats Project.
When I’m not on the island, you may find me with my husband Jamie, son Fisher and sweet pup Rey at our home in Northern Vermont, where we enjoy biking and hiking the Kingdom Trails, backcountry skiing, downhill skiing, and snowboarding. When we need a break from the snow, we love to relax on Culebra, Puerto Rico celebrating island life and the good friends we have made there over the years.
