About Vince
Growing up, I split my time between the tightly packed northwest side of Chicago and a house on a remote five acre lot near the Wisconsin border. Bouncing between these two landscapes gave me a unique view of how people choose to make their homes in vastly different environments.
One thing my parents' homes had in common was that they were all "handyman specials". All three of my parents could swing a hammer, so I began my education in home renovation at an early age. Consequently, when it came time to rehab my Logan Square three flat, I decided that I would do it on my own. How hard could it be, right? Well… three kitchens, three bathrooms, three heating systems, three [fill in the blank], and three (okay five) years later, I felt the profound satisfaction of having built something with my own two hands, and I had a profound appreciation for the fact that a good contractor can really save you a lot of time and aggravation.
Apart from my personal experience with real estate, I spent fourteen years prior to becoming a broker appraising real estate. I have evaluated over 8,000 properties in the Chicagoland area. My combined experience has given me a deep understanding of the intricacies of the market from a number of perspectives, as well as a glimpse into the many different reasons why we all decide to live where we live.
Some people love a good renovation project. Some just want a sound investment - regardless of condition or age. Some want the ease of new construction. In any case, everyone needs a truly present real estate broker with experience to help them find the right place to fit their needs. So... if you're in the market for a buyer, a new place to call home, a vacant lot to build something on, or just some sound advice, I'd love to help!
