"Valerie got my boyfriend and me the house of our dreams in the Oakland Hills!!! It look us less than a week to find a house we absolutely love and we got it at such a great price. It was the first offer we submitted on a property, and with a bit of negotiation (largely in thanks to Valerie) it was accepted within a day. Valerie worked quickly to show us all of the houses we were interested in and was honest with us about what worked and didn’t work for our needs with each house. She truly listened to all of our requests and concerns. No one will work harder for you than Valerie will. She knows the market well and has no fear when it comes to house hunting."

"Valerie is excellent to work with. She is knowledgeable, professional and pleasant to work with. She showed us all the houses we were interested in and gave us insights into why they were priced as they were. Ultimately she helped us find a wonderful home that we are very happy with. I can't recommend her highly enough."

"Valerie was on my team completely. She was incredibly responsive and attentive. It was clear that she really cares about her clients. She's a hard worker, and took lots of time to sit down with me and explain the process and help me through the mountain of paperwork. Highly recommend!"
Negotiation is not a coin toss. I don't go in saying "let's see how it goes". I go in to win, prepared to secure a successful deal for my clients.
Who knew, when I received advanced degrees in business management, marketing and Rumanian from a top university in my native Paris, that I would make my way to a happy real estate career in California? Certainly, not me. As it turns out, my studies were perfect preparation: mastering contracts and understanding the nuances of legalese are an important aspect of my work today.
Bonjours! I'm Valerie. While my academic success gave me a strong business foundation, it's really my innate curiosity, and the people side of real estate that got me hooked, and pulls me forward. As an Oakland resident deeply connected to the community, I understand our complicated, fast-moving East Bay market. Living in the Millsmont neighborhood, where I run a babysitting co-op and a gardening group and founded the neighborhood association, I practice skills that I put to use in real estate every day working with sellers: landscaping, interior design, construction, and great communication.
I know it's a sellers' market, but I love working with buyers, and I'm good at it. Buyers shouldn't have to write 15 offers; they should write one: the one that wins! As an optimist, and someone who is solutions-oriented, navigating potential hurdles comes easily. I take nothing and no one for granted. I think people can tell how much I love this work and how much pleasure it gives me to solve problems.
And finally, a transaction should be fun! I tell my clients what to expect so there are no surprises. Then I handle the stress, the paperwork, and the negotiation so they can enjoy the ride, knowing I've got them covered.
My childhood dream was to have the superpower of being able to be in two places at once (le don d'ubiquite in French). Now, as a Realtor®, I'm making it appear true, by being highly organized and surrounding myself with the best possible partners.
