Born in Lake Forest, raised in Lake Bluff attending Lake Bluff Elementary & Middle Schools, Tracy graduated from Lake Forest High School, later graduating with a degree in Advertising from Southern Illinois University. Following college, he married, lived & raised his family on the north shore, eventually returning to reside in East Lake Bluff early 2014, where he enjoys jogs & daily dog walks to Sunrise Beach.
For the last 26 years, Tracy has had a successful career in architectural lighting working with architects and interior designers on a wide range of project types at such notable firms as Perkins + Will, Solomon Cordwell Buenz (SCB), IA Interior Architects, and Gensler. Projects included many residential towers in Chicago such as Tribune Towers, 340 (E Randolph) On the Park, & Park Tower, as well as many other towers in Chicago and other rapidly developing cities. This work also included corporate interiors projects for McDonald’s, Kirkland & Ellis, Google, Pinterest, and many other high-profile clients. The ability to work in a highly technical field, coordinating project timing and schedules, is sure to enhance a client experience in home sales. If working with this particular client type has taught Tracy anything, it is that listening to client needs is paramount, then presenting multiple solutions which are tailored to fulfilling those needs.
Joining his wife Flor on the COMPASS Lake Forest team in early 2024 seemed a natural progression. A vast knowledge of local land & home history and friendships from childhood to present, are assets Tracy brings to the partnership which provide additional value to the client experience.
Working with Hasselbring Partners, a client receives the combination of Flor’s proven 20-year Lake Bluff / Lake Forest real estate market experience and Tracy’s local history plus unique architecture & design industry project management background. Most of all, any client can rest assured they will be in the finest of hands when navigating one of life’s most important decisions.
In addition to being a performing rock musician for over 45 years, Tracy enjoys playing golf, paddle, skiing, tennis, and going to the beach in the Summer.
