About Tony
Tony Zizzo is a multi-family specialist for The R&Z Group of Compass Commercial, he exclusively represents buyers and sellers in the acquisition and disposition of multifamily assets throughout the Bay Area, CA & Austin, TX. With over eight years of experience in real estate, Tony brings specialized market knowledge and insight to every transaction. Born and raised in San Jose and an alumnus of San Jose State where he played Division I football. Tony has strong roots and knowledge of the Bay Area market and has since grew The R&Z Group to cover two major markets: Austin, Texas & The Bay Area, California.

Having a team of multiple agents in two major markets has helped his clients expand their portfolio while diversifying their investments with synergies between two primary markets. Whether clients are looking for cashflow, value add, core plus assets or anything in between, The R&Z Group has contacts to service any of their client's needs. With specialized knowledge in real estate economics, tax deferred 1031 exchanges, cashflow analysis and secondary investment options including real estate syndications and joint ventures The R&Z Group offers clients a number of investment options.

Prior to working in real estate, Tony worked in the venture capital space, helping to grow a San Jose business as a leading Sales Director to a valuation of over $250 million and 200+ employees. He received multiple sales recognition and top salesperson awards. A graduate of San Jose State with a degree in communication and a focus in marketing, Tony currently holds a California real estate license as well as a Texas real estate license. Tony also has a certificate in real estate development that has allowed him to work actively with some of the most prominent developers, city council members, and owners. Tony along with his business partner Ray, are the managing partners of The R&Z Group which has completed over $675,000,000 in sales and 170+ transactions to date.

Tony Zizzo is a member of the Santa Clara Chamber of Commerce, MLS, Loopnet, CoStar, Texas Apartment Association, Austin Board of Realtors, National Association of Realtors, The San Jose State Football Quarterback Alumni Club, and an active real estate investor in both the California and Texas market. In his free time, Tony enjoys camping, hiking, golf, and actively investing in real estate.

Ray Rodriguez and Tony Zizzo of The R&Z Group, one of Compass’ top multi-family sales teams in the Bay Area, have broken Sunnyvale records with the sale of Charter Palms, a $49 million apartment complex.

The 93-unit property at 676-680 Bellflower Avenue and 679-683 Garland Avenue in Sunnyvale features four separate parcels totaling 4.13 acres. Three of the spacious, two-story townhomes are 3 bed, 2 bath units, while the remaining 87 units offer 2 beds and 1.5 baths.

“The Charter Palms was positioned in an unbeatable location in Sunnyvale,” Ray Rodriguez and Tony Zizzo said. “The property had been a part of a long-term partnership for over 30 years and the sellers determined that now was the best time to transition from the asset and diversify into other investments.
