About Tim
Tim Colley's aspirations have undergone transformation, hopefully for the better.
Throughout his life, Tim has believed that significant life experiences initiate new life chapters. Each one, in his perspective, should be an improvement over the ones that came before. This led him to the conclusion that he feels like he is the best version of himself at this moment, better than he's ever been. He imagines others might resonate with this sentiment too, although perhaps some days more than others. An abrupt, life-threatening experience upended his world and prompted him to reevaluate everything.
Tim's philosophy today is rather straightforward. He spent countless hours in a bed, sometimes conscious, sometimes slipping in and out of awareness. During this time, he contemplated a myriad of thoughts, such as what wisdom he could pass on to his children and grandchildren that might serve them throughout their lives. What he arrived at was this; if one desires success, there are two crucial things to achieve beyond all else - money, fame, and titles notwithstanding. Firstly, live a life of integrity. Secondly, live a life of compassion. Success, according to Tim, is guaranteed if one can live by these principles, for nothing can substitute for these values and nothing compares to them. If these are placed above all else, life is bound to be successful.
Tim advises to aim for peace next. A peaceful life, he believes, means that one's conscience is reasonably clean and allows for relaxation and sleep without remorse. When the mind is not punishing itself repeatedly, there's time to dream. And everything, as he puts it, starts with a dream.
Tim has more to share, but those are merely details—things that led him to his current philosophy.
With a light-hearted chuckle, he admits that these tales might seem designed to impress. Tim is no stranger to victories and defeats, acknowledging that they're just part of life. In his own words, he is an imperfect Tim Colley, striving to live with vulnerable honesty and care.
