I can’t speak highly enough about Thomas and Javier from Thrive. We met Thomas first and from day one we found him easy to communicate with, responsive to all our questions and very informative about the NY housing market. We find Thomas and Javier’s videos about the market very useful as we are the other side of owning our beautiful Fort Greene apartment.
We would fly into NY from Oregon every few weeks and Thomas or Javier would be there to meet us for another round of visits. When we became despondent they encouraged us to keep going. When I held out for a renovated apartment by a particular company, Thomas reminded me to keep looking at the rest of the market. When we were set on two small areas of Brooklyn they bother reminded us there are other both established and up and coming areas of Brooklyn to consider.
Once we visited the apartment we own now, both Thomas and Javier set the wheels in motion extremely fast so we could get ahead of the field of buyers. They advised us how to write a bio for the sellers and the board and generally hand held us through the buying process, having given us names of lawyers in NY to contact and choose from, we were ready to go.
We needed to rent out our place as soon as buying it, as we won’t move for another couple of years and Thomas jumped in to help us rent and manage it ASAP. We are so happy with the couple he found, telling us how lovely they are. The whole experience has been a joy and so much fun with these guys. We were and continue to be in good hands. Thanks guys.

"I had the opportunity to work with Thomas in late 2019 and the first part of 2020 - he worked with me to sell an apartment in a co-op building in Washington Heights. Despite me not being physically located in NYC, he helped with making sure the apartment was ready to be shown, and held regular open houses focusing on getting the best possible offers in a real estate market that had unfortunately slowed down quite a bit — but truly understanding the value of the apartment and helping to make sure I received a strong/fair sales price. Thomas was extremely engaged and responsive throughout the entire sales process from pre-listing to close, and always happy to take a phone call or text to help out and explain the nuances of the New York real estate sale process. ""I’d like to take a minute away from desperately searching for my next (and hopefully final) New York apartment to sing the praises of one Parinaz Mohammadi, licensed broker for Compass Real Estate. Be it known that on April 8th, 2021, my partner and I were at a low point: we had spent the entire day looking at one subpar unit after another, faithfully accompanied by a trail of encounters with disinterested, impersonal brokers who only cared about the bottom line. We were exhausted, discouraged, and ready to throw in the towel.
Our encounter with Pari was received as a blessed relief. Not only did she keep our appointment, arriving on time, but she did not allow the vagaries of her densely packed schedule to deter her from focusing on us. She guided us through the space and its amenities. She answered our questions. She was positive. She was energetic. When I asked her to consult the owner about a particular concern, she promptly did so and returned with an answer at the time she said she would have it for us. Most of all, she was kind.
At the time of this writing, we are still searching, but we are in contact with Pari, who has promptly engaged us about other units via text with the same professionalism and zeal. It is important, especially as a customer, to assert that these little things matter. They were a balm to mine and my partner’s anxieties.
