About Tess
With a background in sales, real estate operations and interior design, Tess Amolsch has the
ideal experience and skills for a real estate agent. With 25 years of corporate sales experience,
Tess learned the importance of listening to clients, understanding their needs and building
trust. After working in the corporate world, Tess became the director of operations for
Compass DMV, where she developed a deep understanding of real estate listings, the contracts
process and the benefits of Compass tools. After Covid, Tess moved into interior design and
discovered she loves working in people’s homes. Real estate was the natural next step in her
career. With an MBA from Johns Hopkins, Tess helps her clients navigate the sales process step by step, bringing an operational eye and keen organizational skills to every detail. With her
experience in interior design, she helps her clients see the vision and potential in each house
and understands what it takes to turn that house into a home. Tess lives in DC with her
husband, three children and dog, Pepper. In her spare time, she serves as deputy president of
Mt. Pleasant Village, a nonprofit that helps seniors age in place. Deeply committed to the
community she lives in, Tess also co-founded Neighbors Helping Neighbors during Covid to help provide food aid, Covid tests and masks to community members in need. Tess grew up in
Northern Virginia and has lived in DC since 1997. When she’s not watching her kids row crew or play field hockey, she is on a quest to find the best burger in town.
