"My daughter moved out of state on short notice for her dream job, without time to deal with selling her small mid-century modern house. She was dreading the idea of dealing with a real estate agent by phone instead of face-to-face. She also knew that her house would be very difficult to sell without a lot of interior improvements prior to listing, and she did not know how to get that work done when she was living 200 miles away. And worst of all, the COVID-19 pandemic and resulting quarantine and business shutdowns arrived just as she was ready to face the daunting task of selling her house. Selecting the right listing agent for the house turned out to be very easy. Suzanne Parmet is widely known in the real estate community for her special affinity for MCM houses and MCM style. She also had in-depth knowledge of MCM houses in my daughter's immediate neighborhood and had represented a number of sellers and buyers of MCM houses in that neighborhood. Suzanne also was a great fit for selling this house because her concierge services included acting as the project manager for the renovations that had to be done before the house could be listed. I am writing this review because I worked closely with Suzanne during the renovation process and saw what a difference she made. She was at the house almost every day as she dealt with contractors, recommended solutions when snags arose, and kept the project on track for timely completion of the work... In addition to her project management skills, Suzanne had an even greater impact on the success of the renovations through her eye for style and architectural detail. She recommended opening walls between rooms to add light and improve sight lines and flow between primary living spaces, and she even provided architectural drawings for the contractor to carry out those structural changes. She redesigned the layout of the kitchen cabinets and appliances for increased storage and workspace for the cook, and to add new breakfast bar seating. Her recommendations for... fixtures and finishes transformed a small, dark, cramped kitchen into a bright, sleek, and open modern kitchen... And she topped everything off with stylish MCM staging that made the entire house look like something from a home design show. Finally, I appreciate Suzanne's professionalism and respect for my daughter as the key person in the sale of this house.... Suzanne's discussions with my daughter about pricing the house, marketing strategy, and selection of the best offer among multiple offers received were all confidential between Suzanne and my daughter.
