About Susan
After a short stint with a life insurance company, Susan took a leap of faith joining a small real estate/residential development company and never looked back. She has been a licensed associate broker in VA, MD & Washington DC since 1981. Early on Susan learned about land acquisition and development, residential construction and finance. Quickly she realized working with home buyers and sellers find their place in the DMV was her passion.
After 20+ years of residential sales, Susan entered residential brokerage management. She has overseen several of the most productive offices in Virginia with more than $1.5 Billion in sales annually.
Susan offers leadership, in-depth knowledge and experience in her role as managing broker at Compass in McLean, Virginia. She continues to learn from this ever-changing industry, assisting agents with their transactions and coaching them to grow their businesses.
Susan is married to Rob Westbrook, principal of Westbrook Homes LLC, a local custom homebuilder. Together they have five adult children and five (soon to be six) grandchildren. Susan & Rob spend much of their spare time with family and friends at Deep Creek Lake, Maryland.
