Sonya Solomon

Sonya Solomon turned what was a hobby into a profession. For years, she was a natural at finding real estate gems for her friends and family. Now she uses her talent professionally with clients on a regular basis, with the same passion, care and trademark bubbly personality. She credits her talent for listening and understanding people’s needs for making her such a good matchmaker. And once a home is found, her mission is to make every transaction as smooth and stress-free as possible.

In addition to selling real estate, Sonya has been assistant director of a large preschool in Tenafly for over 15 years. She meets with clients in the afternoons, evenings and weekends, and partners with experienced agents so her clients get full service whenever they need it. Working with children and parents requires an enormous amount of patience and compassion, which is noticeable as soon as you meet Sonya.

Having grown up in Staten Island, NY, Sonya raised her two boys with her husband in Teaneck, NJ, where she has lived for over 20 years in what’s commonly known as the “Country Club” section. She knows Teaneck, Bergenfield, Tenafly, Fair Lawn and Paramus well, and sells all over Bergen County.

Sonya graduated from Brandeis University with a degree in education and has her M.S. in Reading Education from Lehman College. She joined Compass in 2022
