"The first thing we noticed about Sharon Witte was that she was quiet. As an elderly couple, we were nervous about throwing ourselves into the boisterous real estate market, so we were grateful to be spared a loud hard-sell. (It was almost as though she were just the next-door friend coming over for a morning chat about neighborhood houses.) When we showed her around our own home, which after 43 years was bit shabby, it was obvious that she too had raised children in Palo Alto.
