"Lucky us! Ron is the reason we were able to land a dream property in Mission Bay. We first met him at an open house in the financial district and decided to work with Ron because he was incredibly quick to respond. He listened to (and remembered) every detail that we were looking for and tirelessly toured us through potential homes. At the end of the day, it was Ron's professional connections that lead us to the property we ended up buying. We didn't even have this place on our radar, but Ron was able to pull some strings and help us view & purchase the property before it ever hit the market. Ron was patient and transparent during the bidding process, providing useful negotiation tips without being pushy. He never missed a beat with emails or calls. The icing on top of the cake was that Ron followed through at the end of the purchase! He was there during every single walk through, even helping us track down missing pieces of information. Every one of his recommendations (for inspector, carpet cleaner, even a restaurant) were spot on. His advantage as an SF native really showed, and we'd absolutely work with Ron again."

Buyers in Ingleside
"Ron is incredibly knowledgeable, insightful, organized, and all-in-all outstanding both as a real estate agent and as an Earth-dwelling human.
He never pressures you to do one thing or another, is never afraid to tell you what you should be worrying about vs. what you shouldn't be worrying about, will fight someone (in a very professional manner) on your behalf as needed, but won't make you feel like a weirdo if sometimes you just need reassurance and a hug.
Regardless of where you're at in terms of real estate needs or experience, work with Ron! You definitely won't regret it-- it's much more likely that at the end of it you too will want to leave a verbose, clingy Yelp review. Too bad there isn't a Ron Salter to guide you in every single aspect of life.

"Ronnie is the most professional, knowledgeable, and genuine real estate agent I have ever worked with. He knows the SF bay area market really well. I had to make a move from Atlanta to SF and he made the home buying process a lot smoother. Ron was on top of all the current listings and he knew exactly what I was looking for. He uses his knowledge and experience to identify the best options for you. He is a good listener and an honest man. In the end, Ronnie got me one of the best deals in SF on a Victorian beauty in the heart to the city! Thank you so much! I strongly recommend him to any buyer or seller in the bay area without any reservation." - Ferhad

"It was a pleasure to work with Ron when we purchased our apartment in SF. Ron was very knowledgeable of the entire buying process in SF, professional and very responsive to all of our questions/concerns which there were many going through this for the first time. He spent a lot of time to discuss any questions with us laying out pros and cons, so we could make an informed decision and feel comfortable with the approach we were taking. He is very easy to work and I would highly recommend him to anybody looking for real estate in SF."- Jerry & Maria

"Ron is amazing! It was an awesome experience working with Ronnie, He had excellent knowledge of the areas we were interested in and was very helpful in showing us what was available with our preferences and within my budget. Overall he took the time to understand my needs and concerns and worked well to help us find a solution to fit our needs. He is an extremely knowledgeable and resourceful realtor, very professional and has a keen understanding of the San Francisco market. He always made himself available as needed to show properties and answer all any questions and he always followed through on the requests in a timely and thorough fashion. He was always very responsive to all the inquiries and took time to explain things for better understanding. Based on our preferences, together we did a good assessment of how each property met our hierarchy of needs for current home and our aspirations for a property with future rental potential. I would absolutely recommend Ronnie to anyone looking for an agent – he is 100% worth it to get the most out of your search." - Ashit & Diana

Buyer in Downtown SF
"This review is overdue! Ron was such a pleasure to work with and a huge help in my search to purchase my home in San Francisco. I’ve bought and sold real estate before, but never in the city. Ron met with me at a Starbucks, and after listening to my very specific goals, he put together a plan to help me succeed in this complex market. His knowledge of the city, access to industry resources, and pulse on the market were very impressive. After touring several properties, I ended up feeling emotionally torn between 2. I asked Ron for his opinion. To my surprise, he suggested I offer on the much cheaper property. He thought it was a better value, saw greater long-term potential in it. He also mentioned he saw that my boyfriend and I were simply happier there. At that time I knew I was working with the right guy. He wasn’t just looking to make money; he genuinely cared that I made the right decision. I moved forward on the cheaper property and I’m so glad I did! Bottom-line, better than other agents I've used before because of his integrity and industry knowledge. This is an agent whom you can trust/ depend on (always available, even at 11 PM at night to answer my non-sense questions), who is also very resourceful and sharp when it comes to negotiations with another side of the table. We still keep in touch to this day. I highly recommend him to anyone looking to purchase RE in SF." - Hallyn

"Me and my husband have worked with Ron over a couple of weeks to find our dream house. His approach of finding out what we like, what was within budget and the requirements set the standard when we kicked things off. It’s worth to highlight that we bought the 1st house he has shown us. This reflects how well he understood us and how intuitive he is. Throughout the journey from offer to handover of keys (11 days), it was the smoothest process one can imagine. He was always available and ready to walk the extra mile to provide us answers and to coordinate things with the listing agent. Overall I highly recommend taking up his services. He is very knowledgeable and a great fine man"- Flo & Dani

"I am a first time home buyer in San Francisco, and initially felt intimidated by the buying process. When I met Ron, he thoroughly walked me through end-to-end expectations and answered all the questions I had in mind. Working together, these were some key highlights:
- Provided honest, logical feedback on each interested property - Visited all the listings on site with client - Extremely detailed and well organized with process documentations - Provided great context for searching and buying processes - Immediate availability for communication - Expertise in San Francisco housing and neighborhoods - Ability to tailor buying expectations with client's scope such as timeline, budget, lifestyle, desired property condition, and more - Ability to assess pros & cons and provide data-driven market value - Ability to accelerate processes - Most importantly, Ron has always been so punctual with time and deadlines I'm very happy with the condo I found with Ron and 100% satisfied with the overall process. Without Ron, I wouldn't be able to find the perfect place in time and smoothly finalize all the closing processes. Working together, Ron gave me great confidence and trust I needed as a buyer. I can confidently recommend Ron for any future clients!

"Our friend recommended Ron Salter to us after he helped them buy their house. We were so grateful for this -- Ron Salter made buying a house almost too easy. He was patient as we figured out what we wanted from our house and really took to heart what our priorities were. He never pushed us to make decisions that we were uncomfortable with (and in fact suggested that we slow down with our decision making process) and always gave us a thorough rundown of each place we visited. We could not be happier with the place we eventually bought. Ron found the listing off-market and worked with us to figure our offer strategy. It's also worth mentioning that all of this house hunting was done during the coronavirus pandemic. Ron watched the housing market and would give us regular updates on how it was responding to the pandemic. And of course, he always had a mask and made sure to properly social distance."- Jean and J.J.

About Ron
As a real estate investor himself, Ron looks at homes differently. It's about value. Taking your wants and needs into primary consideration, he's able to pair them with the best value opportunities San Francisco has to offer. Just see what his clients say about him!

Ron is a Bay Area native (Marin County) and current resident of Duboce Triangle. He brings his analytical background from a career in online-trading. Quick success allowed him to enter the Bay Area real estate market as a principal investor in 2010. Upon flipping several properties (condos, single-family and multi-family dwellings) and seeing margins of value where others did not, Ron chose to make real estate his full-time career in 2015.

With 40+ neighborhoods, varying property types and zoning codes, and the constantly changing, complex real estate laws, understanding value in our city is no simple task. Ron's analytical approach to residential property brings a refreshingly objective and honest perspective to your goals, a key attribute to his "value-first" philosophy.

In a time where consumers have access to more real estate data than ever (Zillow, Redfin, Realtor.com, etc), agents have to adapt and bring essential value to their clientele. Detailed market knowledge and a thorough understanding of the sales process is a great start; it allows for high-level negotiations, quality service, and assurance of value. But Ron goes further for his clients. He exposes his buyers to possibly the largest supply of off-market inventory, providing more options and opportunities to buy property with limited competition.

His sellers are comforted by a comprehensive marketing plan that analyzes seasonality, current and predictive market trends, and access to industry-shifting tools like Compass Concierge and Compass Coming Soon.

While lifestyle goals and necessities may take center-stage in your real estate search, Ron will always be there to provide a clear vision of value. He notes, "We see people overpay for homes in San Francisco all the time. While overpaying can be warranted, I've seen too many instances where it absolutely wasn't. It's important to acutely understand the product and it's relative value in the bigger marketplace.
