With over $350+ million in closed sales to date and nearly ten years of experience, Sean Mooney, Principal Agent of the James & Sean Group, brings professionalism, hard work, and dedication to every deal he oversees and transacts for his clients. As a Florida native and graduate of the prestigious Saint Andrew’s School in Boca Raton as well as Florida Atlantic University, Sean has an impressive background and exceptional local network, which provided him the foundation to quickly earn a strong reputation as one of the top real estate advisors in South Florida.
Prior to immersing himself into residential real estate at the ripe age of twenty two, Sean gained invaluable experience in many different industries, including an opportunity to work for Weingarten Realty, a publicly traded REIT based out of Houston, which was acquired by Kimco Realty in 2021 for nearly $4 billion, where he managed, leased, and handled the day-to-day operations for several of their shopping centers throughout Palm Beach and Broward Counties.
In addition his CRE background, while working towards a BA in finance at FAU, Sean had the unique opportunity to work at Banyan Equity Management, a highly regarded local hedge fund based in Boca Raton, which, at the time, had assets under management (AUM) of approximately $1 billion and was the recipient of the coveted Barron’s Top 100 hedge funds award on numerous occasions. These indispensable experiences in the commercial real estate world and financial markets proves why Sean is able to earn the business of and retain countless clients in his real estate business as they are able to benefit from his unique perspective, which focuses on profit, long-term appreciation, and proper valuation of any asset class.
In addition to being born and raised in Boca Raton, Sean is also a dual citizen of both the U.S. and Ireland, which allows him to connect with foreign clientele and also provides a unique vantage point for his clients to understand and benefit from his macroeconomic viewpoint of the volatile South Florida real estate market.
