Ronda Prothro

In April 2011, Ronda, her husband, and their two children packed 10 suitcases, boarded a plane in San Jose, California, and relocated to Austin, Texas. They settled into a 3-bedroom furnished apartment—sight unseen—while their new home closed, marking the start of a new chapter in a state where Ronda had grown up. By that summer, one of the hottest on record, she had fallen in love with Texas all over again. That personal relocation experience became the foundation of her drive to help others do the same.

In early 2025, Ronda and her husband relocated once again—this time to Fort Worth—where they are building a new home. Now based in North Texas, she travels regularly between Fort Worth and Austin to serve clients in both cities. As a member of a well-established real estate team with a strong presence in these two markets, she offers seamless support for clients navigating moves within or between the  regions.

Ronda specializes in helping families relocate—whether from another state or just across town—and has become known as a true real estate expert. Her clients consistently praise her for not only her deep market knowledge and strategic guidance, but also for how comfortable and supported she makes them feel every step of the way.

With a strong background in marketing, public relations, and design, Ronda brings a strategic edge to every transaction. She has extensive hands-on experience in remodels and design, even serving as her own general contractor on multiple personal projects—including transforming an historic 1906 farmhouse outside of Round Top, TX, and building a custom barn house. Whether she’s helping buyers see the potential in a property or advising sellers on staging and improvements to maximize value, Ronda’s goal is always to add meaningful and strategic input.

Her clients benefit not only from her industry insights and relocation know-how, but also from her professionalism, warmth, and approachable nature. She understands that buying or selling a home is both an emotional and financial journey, and she’s known for navigating it with care, clarity, and confidence.

Outside of real estate, Ronda is a proud wife of 35+ years to her husband Bruce, and the mother of two adult children, Jacob and Lauren. She’s also an athlete and a winemaker. In 2017, she and Bruce launched Prothro Family Wines, an award-winning Napa Valley-based brand that connects them with wine lovers across the country and celebrates the joy of shared experiences.
