Ronda Prothro

In April 2011, Ronda, her husband and two children packed 10 suitcases, boarded a plane in San Jose, California, and moved to Austin, Texas where they lived in a furnished apartment—sight unseen—while their house closed. She couldn’t wait to get back to Texas, her home while growing up. By that summer, one of the hottest on record, Ronda fell in love with Texas all over again. She taps into that passion to help her real estate clients find dream homes in the Austin area, whether they’re moving from another state or exploring another town.

Ronda has always had a personal interest in real estate, which translated into a fulfilling career. She has extensive experience in remodels and design, having served as her own general contractor for multiple personal properties. This includes transforming a 1906 farmhouse perched on 10 acres outside of Round Top, TX, and building a barn house. Complementing her knowledge of the market and the ins and outs of the process, is her ability to help buyers see potential in a home while providing great resources for subcontractors and trade professionals.

Outside of selling real estate, Ronda is a wife of 35 years to her husband Bruce, the proud mother of son Jacob and daughter Lauren, as well as an athlete and winemaker. In 2017, she and Bruce launched an award-winning Napa Valley-based brand, Prothro Family Wines. Through their wine business, they get to connect with people from across the country, and love that wine creates an experience all can enjoy sharing.
