Raquel Torres O'Brien, hailing from the picturesque Burgos, Spain, has seamlessly transitioned her professional journey into the realm of opulent wine and hospitality. Her family's ownership of a vineyard nestled in the heart of the revered Ribera del Duero wine region has undeniably contributed to her passion for wine.
Raquel's journey began in Madrid, where she earned her degree in Advertising and Public Relations. In 2012, she ventured to the United States to further her studies and embark on a career that would combine her European sophistication with American opportunity. A significant milestone came when she earned her MBA in 2015, and given her background as a vineyard owner, she made a deliberate shift towards the world of wine.
Since 2016, Raquel has donned the role of sommelier and wine director at some of Washington, D.C.'s most prestigious dining establishments, including Fabio Trabocchi's Del Mar and Enrique Limardo's Imperfecto. Here, she has cultivated invaluable relationships with discerning guests.
Her entrepreneurial flair came to the forefront as she launched her own wine consulting company, further solidifying her reputation as a connoisseur and expert in wine.

When she's not immersed in the world of real estate, Raquel resides in Washington, D.C., with her husband and one-year-old daughter. In her leisure moments, she indulges in her love for travel, frequently returning to Spain to visit her family while exploring the country's most exquisite wineries and vineyards.
