Members of my family first moved to the Bay Area in the mid-19th century. My father’s great-grandparents moved to San Francisco in 1863 and ran a barbershop near Market Street. My mother’s father moved to San Francisco in 1914 and got his first job working at the Panama Pacific Exposition in the Marina. My parents and I were all born in SF and attended schools in the Bay Area. I have an MBA in Finance from UC Berkeley and a BS in Math and Physics from the University of San Francisco. I now reside in Cupertino with my wife and five school-age children.
I am a business executive with deep experience in all aspects of Finance, Accounting, M&A, IT Management, Sales Operations, Off-shoring (Philippines, India), and International Business. I have lived and worked in Japan, China, Germany, and Australia. I have a proven track record of success in a variety of positions and in multiple industries.
Most recently, I worked in the pharma industry as a finance executive with IMS (now IQVIA). During my tenure at IMS, the company was taken private by TPG and re-listed at a significantly higher value five years later. Prior to IMS, I worked as a finance executive at IBM, where I supported multiple global business units, including the IBM Software Group, which at the time generated $10B annual revenue.
