About Omar
As a first-generation bilingual American born and raised in the picturesque city of Santa Barbara, Omar embodies values of hard work, strong drive, and dedication to his family, clients, and craft. His deep knowledge of the city encompasses its schools, neighborhoods, local businesses, and the unique offerings of Santa Barbara and its surrounding areas.
Omar began his career in sales at Jordano’s Foodservice, a respected local company, and has spent 20 years there. He worked his way up from the warehouse to a driver, ultimately becoming one of the leading sales representatives, generating over $6 million in annual sales. His positive, energetic personality, strong work ethic, and commitment to his clients have fostered valuable relationships and insights into their needs and aspirations, allowing him to provide concierge-level service. His success at Jordano's reinforced his passion for helping clients, building their trust, and delivering unique service, resulting in a loyal following and repeat business.
After purchasing his first home nearly two decades ago, Omar developed a passion for real estate, seamlessly transitioning his sales expertise into this field. He proudly joined Compass, an innovative brokerage known for fresh ideas in real estate. Almost immediately, he achieved his first sale, guiding a client through a complex transaction to a successful closing that transformed their life. His mantra is to “under-promise and over-deliver” in every transaction, a goal he consistently meets.
Family is everything to Omar. Raised by a single mother of six—whom he considers the hardest-working person he’s ever known—he is now a devoted husband to Sara Chaidez and father to two daughters, Layla and Giselle. Together, they live, work, and play in Santa Barbara, fulfilling a lifelong dream. In his free time, Omar enjoys traveling and coaching his daughters in sports.
Omar is a member of the National Association of Realtors, California Association of Realtors, Santa Barbara Association of Realtors, and the Santa Barbara Multiple Listing Service.
