About Nick
As an agent with Compass, Nick uses his smart business strategies, marketing expertise, swift negotiating skills — and even a little elbow grease to get the deal DONE! With two decades of experience, Nick brings a strong understanding of the intricacies of buying and selling as well as the emotional side of the deal, from both personal and professional perspectives. He has bought and sold properties not only for numerous clients, but for himself as well, in New York, Pennsylvania, and Las Vegas, Nevada. He understands what good customer service is, what it should be, and has an appreciation for the real needs of each buyer and seller.
He will be with you every step of the way.
Nick’s sales experience takes him from Brooklyn Heights to Washington Heights and everything in between! No matter how many times you've bought and sold, he will walk you through the process as calmly and as slowly as you would like. It is important to him that each client is ready for one of the most important financial transactions one can experience.
An avid New Yorker for the past four decades, Nick has also been renovating a home upstate for the past five years, in Kerhonkson (or as he likes to call it, Ker-Hamptons). Previously, he opened and assisted in running two prestigious New York City Hotels — The Crowne Plaza and The Phillips Club. Not only a successful real estate agent, Nick’s background includes dancing for the legendary Bob Fosse in his last production of Sweet Charity, performing the famous “bottle dance” in the Broadway National Tour of Fiddler on the Roof (and NO, Velcro was never used!), touring with A Chorus Line and kicking up his “heels,” quite literally, in La Cage aux Folles. Nick is also an award-winning playwright, most recently for A Mist Upon the Window, as well as his one-man show, Yeah, That Happened.
Nick created the Nick Rafello Scholarship Fund in Campbell, CA, which encourages and assists the next generation to keep the art and love of dance alive. He is a firm believer in the scholarship’s motto: “Your Dreams are Real,” be it a career on the stage, or a home of your own.
