Brooklyn broker Kirsten Syrett brings an adventurous spirit and a wealth of personal experience to every real estate engagement.
With a desire to see the world, Kirsten became a NYC based flight attendant for Delta Air Lines. Before taking early retirement, she took full advantage of the travel perks by exploring Thailand, India, Korea, Peru, Mexico and many countries within Europe while always maintaining a home in the city. Eventually, she negotiated a buyout on her rent stabilized apartment in the East Village that enabled her to buy a co-op in Brooklyn - a real estate career was born.
Over twenty years ago, Kirsten began her career at a boutique brokerage in Boerum Hill placing tenants in owner-occupied townhouses. Witnessing the flexibility and income potential multi-families offer, she started helping buyers get in on the action. She went on to renovate two homes of her own; a landmarked townhouse in Prospect Lefferts Gardens and a three-family in Cobble Hill. Keen to share her experiences as a homeowner and landlord, she excels in providing excellent customer service while expertly guiding her clients through the buying and selling process. Recruited by Compass in 2017, she is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York and is a certified residential specialist and negotiation expert.
Kirsten's family immigrated to the United States from the north of England when she was twelve. They lived in Indiana, Maryland and Georgia before she moved to New York City shortly after graduating college. She met her husband on a rooftop in Red Hook, Brooklyn and they now have two teenagers. Their favorite family vacations involve hiking and camping - Iceland, Norway, Newfoundland, Montana, and the Catskills.
