"I had the good fortune to be referred to Jim Farah and Trish Goodwin of The Farah Goodwin Team at Compass by my real estate attorney. From the initial phone call with Jim to the follow-up meeting at my home, I was impressed by their professionalism, expertise, and responsiveness. Jim and Trish represented me in the simultaneous sale of my Coop and the purchase of another unit in my building. They provided expert advice on minor updates and staging that would improve the marketability of my home and they even managed the entire staging process while I was traveling. Their initial market analysis was helpful in determining the listing price and they provided comparable listings so I could compare my home to recently closed and listed properties. They kept me apprised of showing and open house feedback in a timely way. This feedback and their guidance enabled me to react to the realities of a changing market. On the purchase side, they worked directly with the seller who had inherited the property and was not represented by an agent. The Compass market analysis was persuasive in the price negotiation and they went beyond the call of duty in dealing with the seller’s attorney and my building’s property management company. I would recommend Jim and Trish without reservation for any real estate needs. They are a joy to work with." - CT, Seller and Buyer

About The Farah Goodwin Team

Jim Farah and Trish Goodwin co-founded the Farah Goodwin Team in 2015. Compass was growing rapidly at the time, and they each wanted more hands on deck so they could continue providing exceptionally good service. The team they formed has C-suite experience, values honesty, professionalism, and hard work, and appreciates the beautiful things in this world, including the art and architecture of New York. Together, Jim, Trish, and fellow team members Cassie D'Agata-Fallon & Gavin Hammon bring clients the best of both worlds: the attention to detail of a boutique agency and the technical support of a large, innovative company. The team’s ultimate goal is to make clients exceedingly happy, and all three members have that in mind every single day.

Jim is a co-founder of the Farah Goodwin Team at Compass. He hails from the Lone Star State, but he's been a die-hard New Yorker forever, and has had a 20-year career in Manhattan and Brooklyn real estate. Jim received his MBA from Wharton and went on to serve as president of his family apparel business, Farah, Inc., a publicly traded company started by his grandfather. At Farah, Jim gained valuable C-suite experience that set him apart from other brokers when he began his real estate career. He found it came naturally to him to identify great investments and to provide finely tuned marketing strategies. Although he is proud to have sold hundreds of millions in in property value over the years, his favorite sign of success is his loyal clientele. People keep coming back to him every time they move. When a recent buyer said “Thank you for being more patient with me than I was with you,” it meant the world to Jim. He puts his heart and soul into providing a snag-free process that feels like a walk in Central Park.

Always generous with his time, Jim has done a lot of volunteer work for organizations including Rotary, YMCA, and United Way, and has served on several university boards and councils.

106 Central Park S, Unit 26A

This home showcases straight-on views of Central Park. This unit 26A features an open bright interior, renovated rooms, central air, a washer/dryer in the kitchen, and top-of-the-line appliances. The building has Central Park as its front yard and is steps away from upscale dining/shopping on Park and Fifth Avenues, MoMa, Columbus Circle, and Rockefeller Center. This is full-service, white-glove luxury living with historical relevance, elegant modernity, and steps away from everything that defines Midtown Manhattan. The building’s Modern Classical design had a striking rooftop that contained glass tiles set in concrete that sparkled on sunny days and at night were illuminated with a series of lights to create striking prisms

Building Description: Trump Parc at 106 Central Park S is a 37-story condo building in Central Park South. It was built in 1930 and has 414 units. It opened its doors to the public in 1930 and its history is one of glitz and glamour; New York’s first music-art residence that housed not only 1,400 opulent rooms but space for cultural inspiration — music halls, studios for artists, art galleries, and exhibition rooms, expansive library and a glass-enclosed roof for athletics.

14 Harrison St, Unit 5/6

Rare opportunity to buy a Pre-war Tribeca - two story penthouse loft, with around ~ 4500 interior sqft, roof rights, 18 foot ceiling with skylight, mezzanine, 3 beds, 2 baths, artists studio, keyed elevator, storage and very low monthlies. The rich and awe-inspiring penthouse at 14 Harrison Street -- the longtime home of world-renowned playwright Edward Albee -- is ready for a new owner to continue its impressive story. Immediately upon entering this dramatic space, one is transported back to the origins of Tribeca loft-living, with massive spaces, exposed brick and, in this case, double-height ceilings. This provides a blank canvas for your vision. Currently configured as a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom home with 3 exposures, the possibilities are endless. A sweeping 35-foot wide living and dining area makes this loft extremely conducive for both living, creating, and entertaining. The atelier skylight nearly 18 feet above the main floor floods the home with natural light throughout the day. On the main level, there is a generous separate kitchen, bedroom suite with sitting room and full bathroom. Upstairs, one finds another bedroom suite with full bathroom, a separate den, and a studio space with direct elevator access. This loft with extremely low monthly maintenance is one of only a few downtown spaces like this which remain, where one can create or house large-scale works of art and be able to admire them in such a spacious surrounding. Located on a quiet cobblestone Tribeca block, this loft is the real thing.
