About Debra
A lifelong lover of all things architecture interior design, Debra possesses a deep passion working with people. So what better career this inspired daughter of a Massachusetts broker than one that involves helping clients achieve their residential real estate dreams?
With New York City being the most unique, dynamic, intricate real estate market in the world, Debra is especially invaluable in her ability to break down the process, calm clients' anxieties, offer guidance every step of the way, until their ultimate goals are met. Her forte is achieving a natural comfort level with people, truly listening to their needs, then following through with full efforts resources to find the home best suited for them. Along with her colleagues on Team Bondy, Debra works with buyers, sellers renters throughout New York City, ensuring the process is always seamless fun.
A Massachusetts native, Debra earned her B.A. degree from Connecticut College, her Masters Social Work from Columbia University, her PhD Clinical Social Work from New York University. She formerly spent several decades as a professional psychotherapist, helping people in a variety of capacities, from private work with individuals to spearheading the adoption of special needs children as founder of The Adoption Family Center Program Director at Queens Children's Guidance Center. Transitioning into real estate melded Debra’s passions for New York, architecture, helping people, she quickly established herself as one of the top brokers New York City.
A Brooklyn resident for many years, Debra previously lived in Cobble Hill before moving into a Park Slope brownstone that she renovated, where she now lives with her husband, two children, and dog. She has worked extensively throughout premier Brooklyn neighborhoods, as well as in Manhattan and Queens. A former PTA president and AYSO soccer coach, Debra is actively involved in her beautiful community. She is also an avid runner who recently completed her first half marathon, and tennis player who can often be found in combat at the park's tennis center.
