About Norma
For over 20 years, Norma Acosta has served the Austin Metroplex with genuine joy for all aspects of the real estate experience. During this time, Norma has helped hundreds of families and individuals build wealth through real estate. Whether you are a first-time buyer, seller, or seasoned investor acquiring your 25th property, Norma takes an earnest interest in partnering with you to help you achieve your real estate goals. With the support of listing and transaction coordinators, Norma ensures clients experience a seamless and successful closing. One of her greatest delights is witnessing her clients find the perfect house in which they will make their home. For Norma, relationships and communication are the heart of real estate. She has built a reputation for being a skilled negotiator, a trusted advisor, and an exceptional communicator – the entirety of her business has been favored and fueled solely by repeat clients and referrals. With a keen understanding of the local market, Norma attributes her success to her inviting nature and ability and enjoyment in cultivating long term relationships with her diverse client base.
Norma earned a BBA in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin and an MPA at the LBJ School of Public Affairs. She attended Teachers College at Columbia University, where she worked towards an Ed. D in Sociology and Education (ABD status). When she is not assisting clients, she spends treasured time with her husband and adult children, as well as with her church family. She considers herself a lifelong learner, particularly in the areas of health, improved quality of life and well-being through diet and exercise. Norma was raised in Round Rock in a home environment where she saw her parents of modest means invest in real estate with the goal of building a nest egg for the future. Norma recalls being part of the remodeling crew and becoming handy with a paintbrush at a very young age. She quickly learned the value of a strong work ethic and the importance of having integrity by doing the right thing simply because it is right.
The Austin area has been home to Norma all her life, with the exception of her attendance at Columbia University. During that time, she was focused on obtaining all the credentials necessary for a different career path. Little did she know that the historic brownstones of the upper west side of New York City, which she so admired, would beckon her to her true calling to become a Realtor and later a broker.
Being a real estate broker is not just a job for Norma; it is a way of life that continues to allow her to invest her time, energy, and attention into her family and clients. She’s enjoyed watching and supporting her three children as they’ve grown into their own uniqueness. She cherishes the decades-long relationships she’s established with clients, often giving advice on investments and construction/rehab projects long after the sale has been finalized. Norma intends to continue serving the Austin/San Antonio Metroplex for as long as she can with no plans of slowing down… perhaps, at least until grandkids arrive on the scene!
