Nick Krasniqi has been involved with real estate throughout most of his life. His interest started at a young age while working in his family's management firm, He learned how to manage and lease the firm's residential portfolio throughout NY. Nick learned even more about the industry while working with his father’s construction company in Manhattan.
While studying at Monmouth University, majoring in business management, Nick was also a member of the Real Estate Competition Team. Where he won the annual Kislak Real Estate Competition. Nick and his team won the competition because of the development plan they proposed for a parcel of land in Toms River, New Jersey. Following the town's master plan. Using his understanding of zoning laws and comps, Nick was able to create feasible plans for apartment buildings with ground floor retail. Nick later presented the plans to the town of Toms River with government officials, local developers along with their lawyers present.
Every summer Nick positioned himself to experience all sides of the real estate business. First with his family's construction company 5K Construction doing Project Management. Where he oversaw the build out of a 16,000 sf office space for Aids Service Center of NY, 11,800 sf office for Urbahn Architects, and the full floor office space for Brause Realty. Later Nick did Property Management for Walter and Samuels. Where he collected arrears, and dealt with tenants on an everyday basis. Nick was instrumental in setting up and walking tenants through the new virtual lobby directory at 30 East 40th St.
Finally at Compass Nick experienced the ins and outs of being a broker. Using his experience and understanding of all sides of real estate Nick is able to highlight opportunities for his clients to ensure they get the best deal possible. With his strong knowledge in zoning laws and his background in the construction industry he is able to easily point out development opportunities. Having played sports his whole life, Nick enjoys staying active. He played for the Connecticut Rangers in the United States Premier Hockey League where he learned the importance of teamwork and communication. Currently, Nick enjoys surfing, playing golf, tennis and getting in the hockey rink when he can.
