About Missy
Prior to joining Compass, Missy was the #1 producer in 2014 and 2015 at Hill & Company.
Missy enjoys an exceptional reputation both with her clients and colleagues. She is known for being hard working, direct and trust-worthy. Her clients will tell you that she goes out of her way to identify and adjust to their needs. Service is the operative word.
Enthusiastic, competitive, and goal-oriented, Missy is a graduate of Princeton University, where she majored in sociology and received a certificate in photography. She captained a national championship squash team and achieved first team All-American honors four times. She brings that same exceptional level of performance and a winning mentality to her real estate practice.
Missy grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, where her interest in real estate began. She spent several summers working for a real estate investment company. Projects ranged from analyzing investments and managing renovations to creating marketing materials for rental properties.
Missy spent several years abroad teaching at Chiang Mai University in Thailand and worked for Landor Associates, a brand identity and marketing firm headquartered in San Francisco.
For the last fifteen years, she has served on the board of a privately held real estate company, which develops and manages residential and commercial properties in urban neighborhoods. She remains an active squash player at The University Club and plays in tournaments across the country.
Missy is married to Yvo Smit and they have two daughters who attend the Katherine Delmar Burke School. Together they enjoy San Francisco's outdoor lifestyle and the city's restaurants.
