About Michael
With close to a decade of service as a Realtor®, Michael Soon has been able to turn a passion into a successful career. As a native San Franciscan home-grown in the Sunset District, San Francisco was his playground. Michael’s love for San Francisco and real estate is rooted all the way back to his childhood, when helped his parents manage several properties. Throughout those years he gained experience with property construction, repair, tenant placement, relationship management and customer service. These experiences are the foundation that Michael builds upon as a Realtor®.
Michael began his real estate career at the start of the nation’s biggest real estate and economic downturn in recent history. Facing numerous challenges early on, he never strayed from his main focus: helping his clients fulfill their real estate dreams. Understanding his client’s goals has helped Michael negotiate successful outcomes buyers and sellers on all types of properties throughout the San Francisco region. Real estate, whether buying or selling, can be quite a journey, and Michael will be there every step of the way.
Prior to joining Compass, Michael was a top-producing agent at Coldwell Banker in San Francisco. He earned multiple awards at Coldwell Banker including, most recently, Coldwell Banker’s prestigious International Diamond Society Award for 2011 and 2012 and President’s Circle for 2013 and 2014. Michael employs his successful experiences with single-family homes, condos, multi-unit properties, commercial investments, and land development to ensure his clients have every advantage possible. Over the years, Michael’s success has been due in part to the extensive network of resources he has built to provide pre and post-sales support for his clients.
Michael loves all that San Francisco and the Bay Area have to offer. He enjoys bringing his family to his favorite childhood places as well as discovering new family favorites. Michael can be found frequenting many of San Francisco’s unique commercial neighborhoods including Irving Street in the Sunset, King Street in Mission Bay, Fillmore Street in Lower Pacific Heights, and 24th Street in Noe Valley.
Michael now lives in South San Francisco with his wife, two young sons, and two dogs. He frequently explores the Peninsula with his family and has gained incredible knowledge of the area. Over the last few years Michael has expanded his real estate success from San Francisco into the Peninsula, from Daly City to San Mateo.
As well as being a successful and knowledgeable real estate agent, Michael is also a successful entrepreneur. He and his wife founded Diddalidoo, an indoor play center for young children 0-4 years old located in San Bruno, California, shortly after welcoming their first son in 2011.
