About Michael
A San Francisco, Bay Area native, Michael moved to Austin in 2011 for graduate school and has loved Austin from day one. Michael is committed to education and development and has a proven track record of academic accomplishments. A recipient of the Boren Fellowship, the Center for Arabic Studies Abroad Fellowship, (CASA), and the UT Austin Graduate Diversity Fellowship, and UT Austin Graduate Teaching Fellowship, to name just a few, he studied Arabic intensively at the American University in Cairo and at Qatar University. He completed his graduate studies at UT Austin with a concentration on Applied Arabic Socio-Linguistics and Arabic Media. He has also studied classical piano his entire life and attended the Manhattan School of Music and Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris Alfred Cortot. He speaks, reads and writes in Arabic, English and French and has performed as a wedding pianist, church accompanist, and piano soloist.
Heās worn many caps in his career, including playing a pivotal role in launching the Sylvan Learn Centers franchise in the Persian Gulf, as well as launching Northwestern Universityās branch campus in Qatar during its first few years. He has also worked at Meta as an HR People Operations Partner, has taught French and Arabic for Berlitz, and was an Arabic faculty member at UT Austin and Director of the UT Austin Arabic Summer Institute from 2014-2017.
Having worked and thrived in Austin since 2011, he understands the local real estate market at the expert level. He is deeply committed to his clients in every way and he is happiest when helping them in all types of real estate transactions and ensuring that they achieve their property and financial goals and dreams.
