About Melissa
One of my previous listings was featured in the New York Times! In the "What You Get" column, they feature three homes of similar prices in different areas of the US.

When I’m helping sellers, I often work closely with another broker on my team: Shannon Campbell, another Compass real estate broker and owner of Seattle Swank staging. This provides extra flexibility and enables me to handle anything from a straightforward listing to providing a full-service hands-off concierge experience -- perfect for the seller with more important things to do!
Fun facts about me
I’m aggressive about pursuing the best outcome for my clients, and that takes time. I don’t follow the typical work-with-as-many-clients-as-possible approach. I’d rather work with fewer clients at a time, which enables me to give each one the attention necessitated by our very dynamic market.
I’ve been in Seattle real estate for nineteen years which includes witnessing first-hand the run-up in prices in the mid-00s and the subsequent doldrums — and everything since then. Because of this, in addition to thinking tactically about a home — who can I hire to wash windows on a Sunday? — I also help my clients to think strategically and recognize the current market-wide forces.

I’ve lived on a floating home for over 20 years and I do a lot of work with the floating home community, which leads some people to think I focus exclusively or even mostly on the floating home real estate market. The truth is, as much as I love working with buyers and sellers in floating homes, my biggest passion is simply around helping people have the best real estate experience possible. I’ve been involved with transactions on condos, townhomes, single-family homes, vacation homes, floating homes, co-ops, and boat slips.
Fun facts about me
- My husband and I have been married over 24 years and we have a wonderful 14-year-old daughter and a 14-year-old Havanese dog.
- I’ve been on two reality TV real estate shows! (Spoiler alert: they’re scripted! :)
- When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with family and friends sailing, power boating, and skiing.
- My daughter attends TOPS K-8 school where my husband and I volunteer to help raise money to help supplement Seattle Public Schools funding.

Trust and well-being first, money second. Melissa has worked on two transactions with me. I need someone with straight-shooting answers, yet patience as life-changing decisions play out. Melissa has been solidly behind me all the way. Fully recommend her!

I have worked with Melissa a few times over the years and will always go back to her and recommend her to friends. Melissa is dedicated, knowledgeable and easy to work with, but the best thing about her is that she is real. She doesn't try to sell you something you don't want. She is endlessly patient and understanding, and looks out for your best interest. I've had nothing but great experiences!

We've been fortunate to work with Melissa through a number of home-buying transactions over the last 10+ years, from buying a condo in our 20s to a vacation home in our 30s. We keep coming back to her because she always has our best interest as the number #1 priority. With each home, she identified all the positives and the negatives and ensured our confidence in this monumental purchase decision. She takes the time to truly know her customers and understands their vision of what a home means. And she works tirelessly to help you reach that dream.
