About McKenna
McKenna graduated from Gonzaga University in 2015, earning a degree in business
administration, concentrating in the fields of finance and entrepreneurship, while also playing
division I soccer for the women’s team. Within her business concentrations she also took real
estate finance and real estate entrepreneurship elective courses. During the summer break
between sophomore and junior year, McKenna obtained her real estate license in order to
assist her mother, Catherine Ferrera. The following summer, she completed an internship with
Edward Jones, as an assistant to a financial advisor.
Upon graduating she began working for a multifamily real estate development company, Vitus, which works within the affordable housing sector. There, she was an assistant development manager for a little over a year, where she applied her undergrad background to analyze potential new development deals, as well seeing deals through from their starting point of acquisition, all the way to the rehabilitation and completion of the project(s). From her college studies, summer work experiences, and time in development, McKenna has built a solid understanding of the real estate industry.
Working in real estate development allowed McKenna to learn about real estate from a large- scale view, but she felt she was still missing the personal and creative aspect, which was why she chose to join Catherine Ferrera’s Team in residential real estate. She looks forward to working alongside her mother and being part of the Catherine Ferrera Team to keep providing great service to their clients for many years to come.
