"Max is the reason we were able to buy our first home. He knew we were in the market with a growing family, we had specific geographic needs, and specific financial constraints. Max took it upon himself to identify units that worked for us that we weren't able to identify on our own. He advocated for us throughout the process, ensuring renovations were on task, getting clarity on process from the seller, and managing negotiations to find a fair price that worked for us overall. Max was easy to work with and personable, and helped demystify the process, and helped us understand what was important and how to take a long term view until we found the right fit. Highest recommendation and big thanks!!" - Adam

"Max has been completely amazing and I feel so fortunate to have had him guide me through the New York real estate process. From the very beginning, he took the time to actually get to know me and listen to what my needs were. He very quickly developed a sixth sense about the kinds of places I would like and how they would suit not just my budget, but my personality and lifestyle. Max made me realize that buying in New York isn't just about the unit - it's about the street and the building and the community you're joining - and his deep local knowledge and years of experience made a massive difference to finding me my dream home.
That Max has the highest level of professionalism and skill goes without saying, but it's his patience, willingness to listen, and genuine kindness and great sense of humour that shone through for me. I always felt like I was his most important client and that my happiness was his absolute priority. I can't recommend him highly enough to anyone navigating the New York real estate market. He will find you your perfect home and, in the process, you'll make a friend too!" - Alexandra

"Max assisted me with the successful sale of my brownstone home in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. After conducting interviews with multiple brokers, I decided to go with Max and his team at Compass based on his knowledge of the neighborhood and the market. I was not disappointed as they did an excellent job getting my home ready to be listed in only two weeks, staged a number of open houses including one that was a wine tasting in the garden, and getting the sale across the finish line in an expeditious manner! I strongly recommend Max and his team!" - Scott

"Work with Max and Win. Max guided us through the process of buying a home over the course of one of the most challenging years of market conditions in recent memory, all the while instilling a philosophy and game plan that when executed provided us with a great outcome. Our needs at the outset were overly complex and not well defined and inventory was at historic lows. Max allowed us to sort out some priorities on our own while patiently being there to answer any questions we had, accompanying us to many open houses and maintaining a level headedness throughout our process of narrowing down our options. His ability to communicate in real terms with parties on the other side of the table with trust and integrity from open house to closing was a huge advantage and a vital part of our process. He was also able to support us in building a great team of professionals who not only assisted with this purchase but helped us define longer term strategies, putting this purchase in context with our longer term goals. Top notch." - Samuel

"Max is a professional who is trustworthy, hardworking, and really cares about the outcome for his clients. Working with him felt more like working with a helpful neighbor who knows the business backwards and forwards than it did a realtor focused solely on crunching numbers. If you are looking for a broker who does what he says, is thoughtful, and works his tail off, then Max is your person—a 10 out of 10. I can’t recommend him enough." - Edward

"So pleased that my husband and I decided to work with Max Moondoc at Compass to sell our East Village duplex. We received multiple offers as soon as we went to market and sold at above asking price. He is extremely professional, experienced, a great communicator, and clearly knows the Manhattan and Alphabet City real estate markets very well. He was fantastic in all respects!" - Susie

"When my husband and I decided to sell our long-time home in Soho, we interviewed several real estate agents and brokers from top-tier firms before choosing Max Moondoc at Compass—and we are glad that we decided to work with Max. Max persuaded both Streeteasy.com and the Curbed website to feature our apartment as a “listing of the week.” Our home sold in a matter of days for the highest price that any apartment in our building has ever fetched. Looking back, we attribute our success to Max’s dedication and expertise, as well as the reputation, relationships, and resources that Compass brings to the table. In short: working with Max Moondoc and Compass was a rewarding and memorable experience." - Cindy

Max was THE perfect guide for navigating the confusing process that is home buying. Like most people, I have no idea what I was doing. His guidance and advice kept my stress at bay and he never led me astray. I am so grateful to Max for being the rock he was at every step and for genuinely caring.
Thanks Max for your communication and your patience and your wealth of knowledge. It's much appreciated and I hope others can take advantage of it too!! - Austin
