About Matt
Since 2000, Matthew Montgomery has been one of the top-performing agents in the state and the local Newton/Brookline market. Matt has participated in well over a billion dollars of sales during his 20+ year real estate career and his personal sales consistently rank him among the top 500 agents nationally. Early on in his career, Matt developed a team approach that has served his diverse client base remarkably well. An area resident for almost forty years, Matt lives locally with his wife and two teenage daughters who attend public school. Matt brings intelligence, a broad depth of experience, boundless energy and a tenacious work ethic to his real estate practice.  With a background in sales, marketing and customer service, he possesses the skills crucial to building a successful business. Few agents have participated in as many transactions over the course of their career.  Matt's gracious rapport, innate intuitiveness and commitment to service, with a focus on putting the clients' needs first, effectively combine to create a unique and comfortable relationship with both his buyer and seller clients. Matt is the vice chair of the Chestnut Hill Historic District Commission where he has served for almost a decade. He is deeply involved as a volunteer working with young adults throughout the Greater Boston community. He supports many local and national nonprofit, spiritual and charitable organizations in a variety of ways and loves all things music and arts related. When he is not working and even when he is, you can often find him with his dog Nelson in the Newton Centre dog park or wandering Cabot or Webster Woods.
