Mark is actively involved with Local and National Philanthropic Organizations. He is the Corporate Sponsorship Chairman for both the Ambassadors of Compassion and the Orange County Youth Sports Foundation where he is also the Scholarship Chairman. For over two decades Mark was a Director and Head Coach for some of the top Youth, High School, and College lacrosse programs throughout Southern California. He’s also served as a Director for the Newport Beach Association of Realtors and the California Association of Realtors.
Nationally, the Ambassadors of Compassion program helps youth define who they are and where they are going. Students gain greater confidence in their strengths and abilities, while at the same time, enhancing their lives by giving them a new sense of purpose and belonging through a program that guides them through the importance of taking responsibility and initiative. Students learn to identify and evaluate the various influences in their lives as they learn to forgive and release hurt. As a result, students learn to overcome negative experiences and disappointments and build a stronger perception of self-worth.
Locally, the Orange County Youth Sports Foundation helps disadvantaged youth in Orange County gain access to youth sports programs that are proven to help kids develop critical social and emotional skills, maintain physical and mental health, build relationships, gain acceptance to College, and get better jobs with higher pay. Thanks to Grants and Scholarships from OCYSF, local nonprofits, and sports programs have been able to get the equipment and supplies needed to include underserved kids and to create new teams and leagues to give low-income kids the chance to play.
