About Mark
Mark Landisman came to real estate with over 30 years of experience in the business world. Together with his sales partner, Julie Newdow, they formed and operate the Newdow-Landisman Team at Compass and have been recognized by The Wall Street Journal & REAL Trends in the top 1% of sales teams in the country, handling, advising and managing the purchase, sale and investment in condominiums, cooperatives and townhouses throughout NYC.
Mark’s three decades in high-profile roles in the financial and business world as a CPA and Chief Financial Officer arms him with the exceptional ability to analyze complex data, negotiate intricate deals, prepare personal financial statements and board packages and provide solutions to his clients. As a former CFO for one of the top 35 largest insurance brokerages, he spearheaded growth from a single location in New York to eight offices nationwide, tripling staff and revenue. Mark was also a partner and CFO in stock photography businesses and provided CPA services at public accounting firms.
His expertise lent itself well to the position of Vice President of his former co-op board, the management advisory team on another former residence and now as an officer of the board of one of his investment properties. This experience, coupled with his business background, provides him with the seasoned insight and unique perspective that he brings to real estate transactions on behalf of his clients.
On a personal note, what is most apparent to those he works with, is Mark’s obvious love of helping people realize their dreams and goals in the world of real estate. Mark is the proud father of a grown son and daughter and volunteers at an organization dedicated to creating a better world through kindness to animals.
