Mark Groves

Mark Groves has over 23 years of experience in commercial and residential real estate sales, brokerage operations as well as commercial property management.

Before joining Compass, he worked as a Branch Manager at Coldwell Banker, a Team Leader at Keller Williams, a Regional Manager at Douglas Emmett and Polaris Property Management, Sr. Sales Manager at Irvine Company and General Manager at AvalonBay/Archstone. He holds an ARM (Accredited Residential Manager) certification from the IREM.

Mr. Groves also worked as the Managing Director at BRC Advisors, a commercial real estate brokerage, where he specialized in the sale of multi-residential apartment properties across Los Angeles. Prior to BRC Mr. Groves was an investment property sales specialist at Marcus & Millichap where he received multiple Sales Achievement Awards and a National Achievement Award. Further, in 2004 he was nominated for the San Fernando Valley Business Journal s "40 under 40" most influential business people in the San Fernando Valley. In 2005 Mr. Groves became a Senior Associate at Marcus & Millichap followed by his promotion to Director of the National Multi Housing Group in 2006 by closing over 20 consecutive transactions in 24 months. In 2007 he achieved exclusive membership in the Marcus & Millichap seven figure club.

Mr. Groves received his BS Degree in Aviation with a concentration in Flight Operations and a minor in Criminal Justice and Business Administration from SJSU. He is also a graduate of the Criminal Justice Training Center in San Jose, CA where he spent two years as a Reserve Police Officer with the SJPD. He is a licensed Private Pilot and holds his Real Estate Broker License.  DRE #01338255
