About Lyon

Lyon Gegenheimer graduated from the University of Texas at Austin Architecture School in 1996. Having a background in Architecture has been essential to his success. Lyon often works with developers and investors that are design-building new construction products, or who plan to remodel existing structures. Lyon has personally renovated or rehabilitated over 50 properties. And formed over 30 condominium regimes. With many of his condominium developers, Lyon is an essential part of the team beginning with site selection and acquisition, moving to the entitlement process, building programming, design and architectural redrafts, project marketing through final new construction sales.

Lyon began his career in commercial real estate in the Rio Grande Valley working in the Maquiladora industry established through NAFTA. Companies within his client roster included: LG, Bissell, Converse, Victoria’s Secret, Jansport & Nokia. Moving permanently to Austin in 1996 Lyon turned his focus to the residential real estate market, still helping some clients with commercial and investment real estate needs. In 2021 Lyon Gegenheimer celebrated 25 years in the real estate industry. He is the lead broker of the Lyon Real Estate Group at Compass based in Austin, Texas. Lyon Real Estate Group’s goals are to provide the highest level of real estate services available.
