About Louisa
Louisa is a Principal Broker with COMPASS and works with a team of incredible agents, including her husband and Managing Broker, Paul Rice.
As a Seattle native, Louisa Cranston grew up amongst the trees, mountains and waterways of the Pacific Northwest, and couldn’t bear to live anywhere else. After receiving a BFA in Visual Communication and Design, Magna Cum Laude, she took her branding and marketing background and substantial high-end hospitality experience into the emerging world of managing vacation rental homes. There she found passion and purpose in helping small local businesses and international companies alike innovate and achieve success.
After 10 years of gaining expertise in the industry, eventually holding the title of General Manager for the largest vacation rental company in North America, Louisa transitioned smoothly into the field of real estate. Her well-honed abilities to support homeowners and guide them in managing their largest assets made this evolution a natural fit. In two years of real estate partnership, she and her husband successfully closed 50 transactions, providing their clients with guidance, education and incredible service in process.
Louisa is a proud mother and stepmother to four amazing kids 8 and under. She loves reading, journaling, cooking with Paul as they invent bizarre fusion dishes, and finds purpose in writing and speaking about her family’s experience with her son’s pediatric cancer. Louisa cares for her mental health with frequent yoga, meditation, and extremely hot baths.
